Fawkes Coffee

Limited Run: Ethiopia Banko Michicha Washed Medium-Light Roast

This micro-lot coffee is freshly picked by 1300 smallholder farms in surrounding villages in Western Guji. It is then fermented for 36 hours in concrete fermentation tanks allowing manual rinsing which removes the mucilage residues from the beans. Clean beans are then transported to raised African beds to dry for up to two weeks.

The mill was founded in 2009 by Tariku Edma and sits at an astonishing 2000 MASL. Mr. Edma’s name has been synonymous with producing high-quality specialty coffees for 3 generations. Tariku was one of the first to establish a washing station in the area and support all the smallholder farmers in the locale.
