Mutheka FCS prides itself on paying high prices to the farmers who produce good quality, driving up the competition as well as the quality of the end product. The lot is hand sorted by the farmers, which after being de-pulped is fermented overnight, then washed and soaked in freshwater before being sun-dried on African raised beds for 14 days.
